SC Capital Raises $1B To Open New High-Yield Asian Fund
SC Capital Partners plans to raise $1B to increase its holdings in Asia as investors globally demand higher yields and riskier assets.
The funds will start flowing in early 2017 as institutional investors plan to target properties in Japan and Australia, says chairman and founder of SC Capital Suchad Chiaranussati, Bloomberg reports. The firm currently holds around $5B in assets and manages cash for investors, including pension funds and endowments, in the US, Europe and Asia.
As central banks keep benchmark rates low investors are looking to private equity funds to deliver higher-yielding assets, and SC Capital is responding to the demand. [Bloomberg]
