Report: REITs Rough 1st Half Presents 2nd Half Opportunities

REIT investors have experienced a rough first half of 2015. The widelyfollowed SNL US REIT index has fallen 10% since January as REITs have been hammered under the weight of broad based selling. Dane Bowler of 2nd Market Capital has shared a detailed analysis on Seeking Alpha that helps to explain the struggles of the first half. Bowler believes the sell-off has been misguided and believes there are substantial opportunities to be had in the second half based on the fundamentals, including that REITs as a whole are trading at a 12.3% discount to NAV whereas they typically trade at a slight premium to NAV.
