DALLAS: Cowboys Start $155M World HQ
The Dallas Cowboys began construction in August on their new $115M world HQ and practice stadium, which will be part of a Hines 317-acre, mixed-use project. Dallas Cowboys owner/GM Jerry Jones says the planned uses for the 91-acre tract (owned by the Dallas suburb of Frisco) include 1.2M SF of offices, 400k SF of retail, 51k SF of restaurants, and a 480-room luxury hotel. The city and its development arms will kick in $85M, and Frisco ISD will contribute $30M. Look for a 2016 opening (something the Cowboys offensive line had trouble creating).
