GCUC Brings Coworkers Together
The Global Coworking Unconference Conference (GCUC, or as it's properly pronounced, “juicy”) is in Kansas City May 1 to 3. Coworking consultant Mike LaRosa tells us the movement's movers and shakers will discuss the latest research, architecture, design, and future of shared office space (and it's here now). There's also going to be a shared wall for ideas and awesome networking. Mike says that Liz Elam—who owns two spaces in Austin—is the defacto leader of the movement, which has grown over 200% per year for eight years. Why Kansas City? Google Fiber has moved there and sponsored cottages along State Line Road (now called The Kansas City Startup Village). Even Sprint has its own co-working space on their campus.
