VANCOUVER: Amazon to Take Big Downtown Space?

National
Placeholder

Rumors abound that Amazon is about to take a big chunk of office space at the $750M Telus Garden in downtown Vancouver, scheduled for completion in 2015, a million square foot development. TechVibes reports that Amazon plans to take at least 91k SF of space, but no one connected to the project (listing agents JLL and Cushman & Wakefield, as well as developer Westbank) is offically confirming it. But Bisnow has confirmed the deal with several other industry sources. One higher-up told us the stats put out there regarding the deal are not accurate, so stay tuned. The office tower will be 24 stories, while the residential condo component totals 53 floors. (Those residents can expect their Amazon Prime deliveries in two minutes, instead of days.)
