Here's a Look at Switzerland's New Vertical Forest
Italian architect Stefano Boeri has designed his third, and quite possibly his most spectacular, vertical forest.
The 384-foot tower is called "La Tour des Cedres," and will support nearly 10k SF of greenery along with apartments that feature wood decks and floor-to-ceiling windows. It's believed that the plant life will improve the air quality, while regulating the temperature and noise levels in the units, Citylab reports.
A year ago Stefano Boeri Architetti won the 2014 International Highrise Award for Bosco Verticale, earning the title of "the most beautiful and innovative highrise in the world." La Tour des Cedres is slated to rise in Lausanne, Switzerland, in 2017. [Citylab]
