BGC Buys CFI in Latest RE Sector Takeover

BGC Partners has acquired Computerized Facility Integration, a consulting and tech company whose platform manages 3B SF of real estate worldwide. The move followed, and came much easier than, BGC's February takeover of the brokerage firm GFI Group after a contentious battle with rival suitor CME Group. This pairing suited both parties, as BGC will gain from CFI's advanced tech services (which service clients including Nokia Siemens) as CFI gains access to BGC's sprawling real estate services (including Newmark Grubb Knight Frank). Financial terms of the deal were not immediately disclosed.
