While Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner were working at the White House last year, the two made over $82M in outside income, according to financial disclosure forms released Monday.

The forms show much of that money came from commercial real estate holdings, with Trump earning $3.9M from her stake in the Trump International Hotel in D.C., the Washington Post reports

Trump earned $12M in 2017, with about $5M coming from her personal clothing brand. The president's daughter also received $2M in severance after she left The Trump Organization in January 2017, and about $748K from other Trump Organization income. Her assets were estimated to be worth between $55.3M and $75.6M last year.

Kushner earned at least $70M last year from dozens of entities affiliated with Kushner Cos., his family's real estate company. That included over $5M in income from the Quail Ridge apartment complex the company acquired in September in Plainsboro, New Jersey. Kushner also reported over $5M in gains from the sale of a shopping mall in the Bronx. His assets were estimated between $179M and $735M.

The president's son-in-law maintains many of his real estate holdings, but he did divest from one of the company's most high-profile properties, 666 Fifth Ave. in Manhattan. Kushner Cos. recently bought out Vornado's stake in the embattled office tower and brought in Brookfield Cos. to help turn it around.

Trump's D.C. hotel has been the target of multiple legal and ethical investigations since the president refused to fully divest himself from his holdings after taking office. A judge in March found that Maryland and D.C.'s attorneys general have standing to sue the president over foreign payments to the hotel, the first time a case had cleared that initial hurdle.
