Pepsi CEO On Workforce Etiquette With Female Employees: 'We've Got To Be Treated As Executives'
Pepsi CEO Indra Nooyi condemned the use of "terms of endearment" in the workplace at the seventh annual Women in the World Summit, saying belittling sexist nicknames have no place in the professional environment.
“We’ve got to be treated as executives or people rather than honey, or sweetie, or babe,” Nooyi says. “That has to change.”
President Obama touched on equality in the workplace himself yesterday in a speech, with the White House tweeting a call to action for equal pay:
RT if you agree with @POTUS: Equal pay for equal work should be a fundamental principle of our economy. #EqualPayDay https://t.co/vU0TrHPbXX

And the numbers support the assertion: recent studies show that gender equality in the workplace could mean a $4.3T boost for the US economy.
