The Fabulous Real Estate Of Facebook Founder Mark Zuckerberg

National

Turns out Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg isn't just a Silicon Valley tech king, he's also a real estate whiz with a spectacular portfolio that would make any full-time investor green with envy. (Of course, it's not like it hurts having billions when shopping for spots...)

From California homes to "vacation retreats," Zuckerberg and his wife, Priscilla Chan, have been wheeling and dealing, buying a series of multimillion-dollar properties over the years. Here are some of the most stunning.

Zuckerberg's first high-profile estate is a 5k SF mansion in Palo Alto, complete with a saltwater pool, a music alcove and a floor-to-ceiling glass sunroom.

The historic estate was originally built in 1903, and then snagged by the social network king for a cool $7M.

That same year Zuckerberg ponied up $10M for a 5.5k SF pied-a-terre in San Francisco’s Mission District—which underwent over $1.6M worth of renovations in two years.

In a purchase befitting a man with "500 million friends," Zuckerberg snatched up a 750-acre oceanfront property on the North Shore of Kuai, HI, in October 2014. The $100M island paradise has a former sugarcane plantation and white-sand beaches to boot—talk about a family getaway.

Back on the mainland, the Facebook multibillionaire reportedly decided to ride the NYC real estate wave (I guess you need a getaway from the ones in Hawaii...), reportedly picking up a $22.3M three-story townhouse at 157 West 12th St in Manhattan's West Village.
