The Rams Sign Deal For New Training Center
The LA Rams have chosen California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks for new Southern California training operations.
The Rams will be based at the university for at least the next couple of years during the NFL season until Inglewood Stadium is built. The team is close to signing on temporary business offices in Agoura Hills.
The team is paying for two practice fields, a parking lot and temporary modular buildings, which will contain offices, locker rooms and training facilities on the campus, according to the Ventura County Star.
Around 130 players, coaches, trainers and other staff will be housed there. The Organized Team Activities and mini-camp will be held this season at the River Ridge fields in Oxnard starting on April 18.
The City of Thousand Oaks has approved construction of the fields and the parking lot as part of the university's master plan. The Rams will give those facilities to the university when they move into their new stadium.
The Rams also plan to offer internships and other opportunities to the college's students. [VCS]
