Trump Picks Son Eric’s Wedding Planner To Run NY Federal Housing Programs
President Donald Trump appointed his son Eric's wedding planner, Lynne Patton, to head Region II, the largest regional office of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Patton, one of Trump’s longtime event planners, has no housing experience and claims to have earned a law degree from Quinnipiac University, despite the university saying she never completed her degree, the New York Daily News reports. Region II covers New York and New Jersey, and Patton will oversee its multibillion-dollar budget and thousands of block grants and rental vouchers.
Patton helped run the Eric Trump Foundation from 2011 until she left in January. The organization is under investigation by New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman. The New York Daily News said Patton will assume her position on July 5.
