All Of The Natural Lights: Kanye West To Launch Architecture Firm
Kanye West seems to be a runaway train of ideas in 2018, and he detailed his latest endeavor on his favorite medium, Twitter.
Less than a week after an interview where he revealed his plans to enter the field of commercial real estate development, West tweeted an announcement that he plans to expand his Yeezy brand, best known for its prized and oft-imitated shoes, to include architecture.
we’re starting a Yeezy architecture arm called Yeezy home. We’re looking for architects and industrial designers who want to make the world better

In that previous interview, West cited Howard Backen, founder of BAR Architects, as an inspiration, and has also frequently espoused a love of brutalist architecture, Curbed reports.
If West follows through on his plans to expand the Yeezy brand beyond fashion, there is no telling where it could end up. He has said he plans on hiring 160 employees in the coming year and to hit a billion dollars in revenue for 2018, the Guardian reports.
CORRECTION, MAY 10, 2:15 P.M. ET: A previous version of this story misstated Howard Backen's relationship with BAR Architects. Backen is a founder, but he's no longer associated with the firm. This story has been updated.
