Some Good News For The Anti-Brexit Crowd, But Not Much
The latest poll on Brexit puts the “Remain” camp ahead 46% to 45% with 9% undecided.
Still, the poll points to momentum for the “Leave” vote, as the gap has narrowed by 11 points from a month earlier. And five polls in the past two days put Leave in the lead, by between one and seven points, Bloomberg reports.
In the Remain camp, UK Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne is warning Brexit could spark a fiscal crisis, while Leave supporters are already contemplating their post-Brexit agenda, like pledging legislation to restrict free movement and reduce the influence of EU judges.
Central bankers around the world have been warning of a negative economic fallout from Brexit—though some real estate experts told Bisnow that Brexit could be a short-term boost for the sector, especially for the NYC luxury market, a major competitor with London. [Bloomberg]
