Experts say his Twitter feed holds the answer, considering he’s continuing to use it to praise allies and attack enemies despite being president-elect, Bloomberg reports. Trump was a critic of Janet Yellen during his campaign, so all eyes are watching to see how he responds to the expected hike.
Since Trump’s victory, Yellen and at least four other regional bank presidents have spoken publicly about the importance of keeping monetary policy independent, suggesting they are at least somewhat afraid Trump will try to influence them.
