MGM Appoints CEO And CFO To Lead New REIT
MGM Resorts has scooped up two former managing directors at Greenhill & Co. James Stewart and Andy Chien will be CEO and CFO, respectively, of MGM Growth Properties, the hotel giant’s recently announced REIT.
MGM Resorts CEO Jim Murren says the vets' combined 40 years of industry experience is crucial to starting MGP, which has over 24,000 hotel rooms and 2.3M SF of convention space, off right, reports GlobeSt.
James started his career at Salomon Bros, eventually coming on as a managing director at Morgan Stanley. He also had a stint as co-head of UBS Investment Bank's LA office, accumulating over 25 years of investment banking experience.
Andy is no greenhorn either. The new CFO has over a decade of experience, spearheading over $50B in deals in real estate, gaming, lodging and leisure. [GS]
