Trump Hotels CEO Aims To Triple Number Of U.S. Locations, And Conflict Of Interest Questions Abound
President Donald Trump’s hotel management company outlined plans for a U.S. expansion shortly after Trump officially became president, raising even more conflict of interest questions surrounding his businesses.
Trump Hotels CEO Eric Danziger said the company should expand into all 26 major metropolitan areas in the U.S. after deciding against plans to expand in China, Bloomberg reports. "I don't see any reason that we couldn't be in all of them eventually," Danziger said.
The company currently operates eight hotels in the U.S., meaning Danziger is proposing a massive expansion at a time when nearly all ethics experts aren’t satisfied with the steps Trump has taken to mitigate possible conflicts of interest. [Bloomberg]
