Hanover Eyes PTC For Apartment Project
Houston luxury apartment developer The Hanover Co could be making its Atlanta debut in Central Perimeter. (Who's in charge of welcome baskets this month?)
The Hanover Co has applied for a DRI review with the Georgia Department of Community Affairs to develop a 385-unit apartment complex at Perimeter Town Center, the medical mixed-use development at the corner of Peachtree-Dunwoody Road and Hammond Drive in Sandy Springs (pictured here).
Perimeter Town Center has been one of Ackerman & Co's development centerpieces in the past decade, an MOB-focused project that also encompasses retail and pure office. (It's a whole meal in one dish.) This would also be the second apartment project on the site. Northwood Ravin is nearing completion of its 1160 Hammond complex (here), a 350-unit high-end apartment building.
Ackerman is under contract to sell the site to Hanover, pending approvals. Ackerman's Kris Miller could not be reached for comment. According to Hanover's plans, the firm looks to develop the project by 2017. Perimeter Town Center has been a big success for Ackerman, with the two office buildings almost fully leased, with such tenants as Piedmont Healthcare and Uncle Julio's restaurant. (Uncle Julio could not be reached for comment.)
