Chinese Investor Joining Hines' 1.8M SF Tower Project
The Boston Redevelopment Authority is meeting today to certify a new equity partner for Hines' proposed South Station tower project.
The Houston-based developer received approval for a form of the project about 10 years ago, but the recession delayed things.
At the time, Tufts University was co-developer of the 1.8M SF, mixed-use air rights project, but the school withdrew in '09, the Boston Business Journal reports. Now Gemdale Properties, a Chinese real estate firm with an office in LA, wants a piece of the action. [BBJ]
