BALTIMORE: Behind Every Woman Is a Good Amenity
Bozzuto Management president Julie Smith, speaking at Bisnow’s Baltimore Multifamily Summit on Wednesday, said she’s been mulling how to incorporate amenities for women. The residents in Bozzuto’s upscale urban Baltimore apartment properties make an average $120k and half are under 30. (And more than half of residents are female.) Meanwhile, Julie just finished a year-long college search for her daughter and says the colleges were trying to underplay how many more women than men are enrolled. That trend is going to carry right into her portfolio, she says. For example: In DC’s Shaw neighborhood, a trendy place but not the best for a woman to walk a dog at midnight, Bozzuto operates a building with two dog runs on the roof.
