DC: Who Needs Parking?
Tenley View is the first residential building in DC to be designed with no parking. (Nobody tell those self-driving Google cars. We know they're sentient and aren't going to like this.) At the corner of Wisconsin and Brandywine in Tenleytown, a nondescript vacant retail space will be transformed with Douglas Development's new mixed-use project. The firm's Andrea Gourdine tells us it begins in February. The seven stories will include 60 residential units and will promote access to the Metro. The project will cover 68k SF, with 18k dedicated to retail. Andrea hopes at least one tenant will be a restaurant. (We pretty much hope that wherever we go.)
