Sean Black Leaves Cushman & Wakefield for WeWork After Less Than A Year
WeWork has hired Cushman & Wakefield executive director Sean Black, who joined the brokerage last summer. Sean’s title at the co-working behemoth will be EVP, and he’ll work on expansion in markets that will include NYC, Miami, DC, Atlanta, Philadelphia and Boston, according to Crain’s.
He joined Cushman & Wakefield last summer, after a six-year stint at JLL.
If switching from a major brokerage to a co-working provider seems like a big jump, consider that Sean’s worn different hats before. His boxing career led him to represent Jamaica, his father’s home country, in the Olympic Games in 1996, and in 1999 he won a bronze medal at the Pan American Games.
Of his most recent move, the middleweight, whose relationship with WeWork began by repping them in deals in NYC, tells Crain’s, “This is not a monster shift for me.” [Crain’s]
