Fresh Off Major Financing, $1.3B FanDuel Inks 41k SF Lease
Shortly after a $275M funding round that put company value at $1.3B, fantasy sports startup FanDuel just scored a 41k SF slam dunk lease in the heart of New York's booming tech scene. The New York unicorn is expanding its office space from 9k to 41k SF, and moving from Manhattan's Union Square to 300 Park Ave S. Cushman & Wakefield's Mikael Nahmias and Hunton & William's Anthony Bonan repped the landlord. Colliers International's Robert Kennedy and Mintz & Gold's Heath Loring repped FanDuel. Time Warner Investments, Google Capital and KKR are some of the investors behind the company. The 14-story building consists of 170k SF, with each SF averaging at around $80. The area is becoming a trendy hot spot for tech and media companies—for example, the rooftop is under renovation to become a private venue for screening films and sporting events. Other 300 Park South tenants include PR company M. Booth & Associates and talent agency Wilhelmina Models. [TRD]
