GE Settles On New HQ Location
The $150B industrial monster has found a new home—a 110k SF location in Boston’s Seaport District.
The new HQ will be a combination of two existing historical buildings, and an adjoining parking lot where GE will put up a new building, all on the edge of Procter & Gamble’s 44-acre South Boston Campus.
GE estimates it will cost $100M to settle fully into its new base of operations, including land acquisition costs, Commercial Property Executive reports.
The company says it will employ roughly 800 people at its new Boston HQ—just the first of many impacts Massachusetts will feel from its newfound largest public company. [CPE]
