WeWork Heads to South Beach
WeWork has confirmed that it will open its first Miami location with a 40K outpost at 350 Lincoln Road. The New York-based shared workspace provider will occupy four floors at the property, which is just blocks from the ocean in the heart of pulsating South Beach. As of now, 750 "members" have lined up for square footage in the building. Most of the announced tenants—including Buro, Pipeline Workspaces and The Lab—are local businesses.
Since its founding five years ago We Work has grown to include locations in more than 20 cities in the US, UK and Israel. In December it was valued at $6B. A spokeswoman for the brand said the South Beach offshoot will come complete with a "pool party" vibe to fit in with its neighbors.
