WeWork Partners With News Network
As WeWork continues the push to permeate nearly every industry, some of its offices will be transformed into remote television studios.
WeWork and Cheddar, a live and on-demand video news network, have formed a partnership that will aid Cheddar in cost-effectively scaling its digital TV business and producing more high-quality live shots for its weekday programming by allowing the network to build remote studios in select WeWork offices across the U.S.
During 2018, Cheddar will be adding between five and 10 WeWork studios starting in major U.S. cities, including D.C., Chicago and San Francisco. Studios will then move on to London or Asia with the ultimate goal of expanding around the world, Axios reports.
The partnership with Cheddar is the latest in a string of WeWork collaborations. The co-working giant has been partnering with a number of different businesses across several industries, including deals with Samsung and Hudson's Bay, and recently announced new concepts that will attract members with its WeRise gym concept and WeGrow, an elementary school now in its first year of a pilot program.
