NoMa Goes Wi-Fi!
Long a dream in DC, the city's fastest-growing neighborhood, NoMa, has made it a reality: free outdoor Wi-Fi. The area is the first neighborhood in the District to do so. “We have a lot of nerdy, smart institutions headquartered in NoMa, as well as a lot of tech-savvy residents in area,” NoMa BID prez Robin-Eve Jasper tells us. Conversation for the project began over a year ago; Robin-Eve says the feature comes in part with NoMa BID’s plan to activate public spaces in the areas. Residents and visitors can connect from First Street anywhere between New York Avenue and H Street.
