Curvaceous Skyscraper Inspired By Beyonce Wins Planning Approval
A 68-story skyscraper in Melbourne inspired by a Beyonce music video has won planning approval. Australian firm Elenberg Fraser’s design has a feminine form featuring a series of curves and bulges akin to the pop superstar's. The firm drew some inspiration from the singer’s music video for the song "Ghost," according to Dezeen. The Premiere Tower, as it's known, will be located at 134 Spencer St and contain 660 apartments and a 160-room hotel. Parametric modeling, a type of computer-aided design that allows for complex shapes, was used to develop the form of the building. A completion date for the project has yet to be released. [DEZ]
