Real Estate Tycoon Peter Kalikow Gives $10M to Hofstra to Fund School of Public Policy
Real estate magnate (and generous donor) Peter Kalikow has donated $10M to alma mater Hofstra University to fund a school of public policy.
The Peter S. Kalikow School of Government, Public Policy and International Affairs will incorporate 19 academic disciplines and offer graduates degrees in public policy and service, Newsday reports.
Peter says he hopes the new school will help students understand the important issues facing the nation.
Hofstra president Stuart Rabinowitz says the former MTA chairman and New York Post publisher has “almost a fanatical interest” in politics and public issues.
This is not Peter’s only support for public service at Hofstra. He also previously funded a center at Hofstra focusing on the American presidency. [Newsday]
