HOUSTON: There's Something about Property Managers and Rodeos

Placeholder

As we walked around the final days of the Houston Rodeo (HLSR), we found CBRE senior real estate manager Judi Bouchard, who's volunteered on the HLSR's Armed Forces Appreciation Committee for five years. She's in charge of the WWII veterans group, but is expanding to include Vietnam and Korean War vets. She tells us it's a special way to show appreciation for the men and women who have made great sacrifices for our country, and she's proud to say the committee brought in over 4,100 vets this year. Judi manages three buildings across town: the DEA building, Vanderbilt Square, and Market Square Shopping Center.

Moody Rambin SVP Brad Kovach (who manages a 5.1M SF Houston portfolio) came by his love of the HLSR from growing up in Cleveland, Texas, where the Livestock Show was a ticket to college for many of his friends. He's been involved as a volunteer for the last seven years, serving on the Go Texan Committee and the Transportation Committee (above, he's coordinating the tram system). Brad loves working with fellow volunteers; an Italian client once told him that such a massive undertaking relying almost entirely on volunteers could never happen in Europe.
