Last Night's Almost Famous Bash

Last night, we dropped by the historic Belasco Theater for the "Almost Famous" conference after-party thrown by BOMA cornerstone partners Allegion, AlliedBarton, Kimberly-Clark Professional*, ThyssenKrupp Elevator and Yardi. Guests were greeted by a throng of paparazzi as they entered the theater, where they enjoyed live music, a buffet and drinks, and hand-rolled cigars on the outside deck. Behind Advantage Building and Facility Services' Trish Faidiga and Brite Realty Services' Mike Fenza you can see Belasco's beautiful interior. The historic theater was designed by architects Morgan, Walls & Clements, who created a fusion of Churrigueresque, Spanish Renaissance, Moorish and Gothic details, most of which have survived through today. After past lives as a burlesque theater and church, it underwent a $12M restoration into a multi-purpose entertainment facility that includes a main theater, ballroom, basement lounge, wine/tapas bar and two restaurants.

Hines' Mary Paltani, Moses Tucker's Roxanne Litchholt, The Hathaway Group's Vada Reynolds, Zia Rising's Leslie Yardman, CBRE's Carolyn Richardson, and Kimberly-Clark's Kelly Arehart and Jamie Britton were completely unaware that BRAVO!'s Mike Amoroso was photobombing them.

Cushman & Wakefield's Lou Mantia (a BOMA NY past president) and BOMA NY executive director Bobbi McGowan bookend their spouses, Jessica and Paul. They're ready to cheer on Manhattan's landmark 230 Park Avenue (built as the New York Central Building and then renamed the Helmsley Building), which is vying for a Historical Building TOBY Award tonight.

AlliedBahton's Scott Wade with AlliedBarton's Greg Welch, Jeff Case and Edward Ruvalcaba. No, that's not a typo; we spelled it in Scott's Bostonian accent.

Enjoying some hand-rolled cigars were Forest City's Brian Cappelli, Hokanson Cos' Chris Horsley, CenterPoint Properties' Harold Campbell, Avison Young's Kevin Clarke, and Hokanson's Boyd Zoccola (a past BOMA International chair and BOMA Indianapolis past president) with wife Melissa.
