WiFi Router Vulnerability Threatens Hotel Property Management Systems
Guests and property management systems at hundreds of hotels and convention centers around the world are susceptible to being hacked because of a vulnerability found in InnGate routers used for WiFi networks. Researchers discovered that this vulnerability allows attackers to distribute malware to guests, monitor and record data sent over the network and possibly gain access to the hotel's reservation and key card systems, according to Wired magazine. Of the 277 vulnerable devices researchers were able to access, more than 100 were in the US. [Wired]
