C&W: Retail’s Hope Rests In Fast-Casual Dining
Retail growth over the next year will be driven by fast-casual dining, with discount apparel adding some fuel to the fire, says a new Cushman & Wakefield report.
The report comes along with the firm’s new North American Retail and Restaurant Expansion Guide, which tracks the growth plans of around 2,000 retail and restaurant chains across the US and Canada, Commercial Property Executive reports.
Fast-casual is expected to remain the strongest single category, as quick-eat pizza and sandwich joints lead the way while brick-and-mortar retailers continue to struggle with online competitors. [CPE]
