Target Closing 13 More Stores
There's another round of Target stores getting the ax, as the retailer sets to close 13 more stores following a series of layoffs and a failed expansion in Canada.
Target representatives blame decreasing profitability, stating that they give "careful consideration of the long-term financial performance of a particular location," TIME magazine reports.
The closures, which will take place early next year, will include stores in Austin, Columbus and Milwaukee. Eligible employees will be offered the option to work at other locations.
Earlier in February, Target closed 11 stores, bringing its ownership to about 1,800 in the US. [TIME]
