Report: US Property Value Growth Is Over

After rising steadily over the last six years, growth in US commercial real estate values have come to a halt, according to a new report from Green Street Advisors.
Green Street’s Commercial Property Price Index, which tracks property values on a national scale, was unchanged in April, The Real Deal reports. The firm also noted that property appreciation has slowed to a standstill after posting near double-digit gains over the last few years.
While it appears property value growth may have come to an end, values are still 7% above where they stood a year ago and 23% higher than their pre-recession peak in 2007. [TRD]
