Student Housing Developers Are Turning To Facebook Live To Find Tenants
Facebook Live is giving its 1.6 billion user base a platform to stream their lives, brands and ideas in real time. News stations are using Facebook Live to stream news as it happens, moms like "Chewbacca Lady" are getting on it to give viewers a good laugh, and shows like the X Factor are streaming their auditions via the new social platform tool.
The student housing industry is hopping on board, too. We talked with Serendipit founder Alexis Krisay about how Facebook Live is helping developers find potential new customers.
Facebook Live builds brand awareness, and student housing developers are getting in on the action by providing sneak peek, behind-the-scenes content to potential customers. Developers might post new development news, or hard hat tours, which Alexis tells us are very effective, particularly among people who are on the fence.
Engaging those prospects is vital, Alexis says. Fun content can be used to attract attention and get customers involved. Posting dating tips or a lesson about how to whip up some cheap nachos can do very well. Communities might also like to broadcast live movie nights or poker nights, so viewers feel a part of it.
But always, the main goal is to convert. To do that, Serendipit uses a 360 approach: all platforms are engaged. To make it work, you really have to use all channels, Alexis tells us.
Social media experts are still trying to pin down how to measure success with Facebook Live, but Alexis tells us that the impressions she’s getting are “incredible." She's seen leases come entirely from Facebook Live.
