Here Are 4 Instagram Strategies Brokers Are Using (That Actually Work)
Over 300 million people have Instagram accounts. That's a lot of #nofilter--and a lot of potential leads, making it an ideal place to get business. (Or, if you're more into video, here's how to take advantage of Vine.) Bisnow spoke to real estate pros to get the Insta-scoop on how they're using social media for business.
1. Give a new listing exposure.
Posting new listings on Instagram gives them great exposure when they show up on your followers' feeds. Not to mention you can add cool filters and useful hashtags to really show off the property.
2. Build your own brand.
Luxury broker Ivan Ciraj uses Instagram to help build his brand by frequently posting his stylish open house showings and business ventures he's involved in. "I utilize Instagram to help build brand and personal recognition in the real estate field," he says to Bisnow. "Building this personal connection and establishing brand presence is one of the best uses for these platforms in the real estate field."
3. Engage your followers and potential business in fun ways.
Tech brokerage firm TheSquareFoot uses Instagram to run its #OfficeSpaceOfTheWeek, a weekly posting series of cool office spaces. The unique hashtag also drives traffic back to its account. People are also likely to stay following an account that constantly posts interesting things like this.
4. Announce news.
Ivan announced the launching of his new website on Instagram, and used the right hashtags (like #luxuryrealestate) to get support and exposure from followers and those interested in luxury real estate.
