No App Required: Technology Gives All Hotel Guests Access

Zoottle’s “no app required” technology took home the TECHPitch prize at last month’s International Hotel, Motel and Restaurant Show in New York.
Fewer than 5% of guests download hotel apps, according to the Lexington, MA-based firm, whose customers include Best Western and Westin Hotels & Resorts. Zoottle chief Christos Perakis (seen above, left, accepting the award) says the importance of apps in hospitality is growing proportional to the difficulty in getting guests to download and use them.
The Zoottle WiFi dashboard enables all guests to run a hotel's app—via any browser, on computers, tablets or smartphones—“not just the 5% who downloaded it.”
