EXCLUSIVE: Colliers Hires Kim Kretowicz As First-Ever Head Of Healthcare Investment Sales
Colliers International has brought in an executive for a new position in its New Jersey healthcare division.
The real estate services firm has hired Kim Kretowicz as a managing director in charge of healthcare capital markets and investment sales, Bisnow has learned. She has also been named as a fellow of Colliers' National Healthcare Services Group upon her hiring. Kretowicz will work out of Colliers' Woodbridge office, where she will report directly to Executive Managing Director Dennis Waggner.
Kretowicz left her position as a vice president of Marcus & Millichap's Healthcare Real Estate Group to join Colliers, a decision she said was based on Colliers' analytics, technology and research team.
“[Colliers] has a very sophisticated analytics and research platform in place where health systems can get information of all types," Kretowicz told Bisnow. “The technological advances that our platform offers make us able to dive into specific demographics of a region, which nearby residents can travel from their home and how far they can travel, what sort of care those residents need, which form of insurance is most prevalent and so forth.”
The sheer amount and granularity of data that goes into healthcare providers' expansion and acquisition plans makes information technology a deciding factor in whom those providers partner with. That will only become more critical as demographic and economic changes are "shifting to where the healthcare sector is the dominant food choice in real estate,” Kretowicz said.
Kretowicz is now one of three women at her level or higher in Colliers' North and Central New Jersey operations, along with Executive Managing Directors Nancy Erickson and Jacklene Chesler in the firm's Parsippany office. Her hiring is the culmination of a process that began when she called Waggner to congratulate him on his own arrival at Colliers last summer, Waggner told Bisnow.
In her capacity as National Healthcare Services Group Fellow, Kretowicz will report to National Director Mary Beth Kuzmanovich, who Kretowicz said also played a role in her recruitment.
