A Salary of $99,825 Can Get You an Affordable Apartment in NYC

The lottery to get an affordable unit at Downtown Brooklyn’s City Point opened last week. 150 of the development’s 200 affordable units will be for those making up to 165% of the area median income, which means a family of four can snag a unit with a household income of $142,395. The unit mix includes 76 studios deemed affordable, reports DNAInfo. Out of those, two will go for just $500, and will be for those making $24,000 or less, at least 12 will rent for $651 and be open to those making up to $30,000. The rest will cost $1,621 and anyone making less than $99,825 will be eligible to rent one. [DNA]
