AREW’S CINCO DE MAYO FIESTA

AREW’S CINCO DE MAYO FIESTA
Last night, we joined the packed Empire Hotel rooftop lounge for a Cinco de Mayo fiesta with our AREW amigas (and plenty of amigos, too). There were also sombreros, tortilla chips, and margaritas. We vote for celebrating all month long. (More photos.)

We snapped AREW president Jennifer McCool of Related with Newmark Knight Frank’s Geoff Rockhill and Robin Fisher. Congrats to Robin on just closing two transactions: the American Bureau of Shipping’s 13k lease at 60 W. 42nd; and Adelhardt Construction’s 6.2k-SF lease at 535 Eighth Ave.

And here’s the future “Mr. McCool,” Jennifer’s fiancé Glenn Isaacson of CBRE (second from left), with Premier Partners’ Ruth Furst, Cushman & Wakefield’s Richard Baxter, First American’s Theresa Garelli, and Cushman’s Scott Latham. Hey, Scott, aren’t the bunny ears supposed to go on friendly rival CB?

Perkins+Will’s Debra Cole and Sonya Dufner flank Rentacrate’s Robert Schecterson. Perhaps they’re all smiles because Perkins+Will just doubled its space to 40k SF at SL Green’s 215 Park Ave. South. It subleased the additional space on the 6th floor from attorneys Binder & Binder until ’15, when it will become a direct lease.

Now that’s getting into the spirit! Forsight Management’s Rona Siegel, United Services of America’s Paul Senecal, attorney David Haines, Rand Engineering’s Jim Marcinek, KTRValuation & Consulting’s Tom Tener, and EE Initiative’s Amber Ackman. Amber just ran her first half-marathon at Central Park, while David’s looking to publish an article on bedbugs and the law. (Unfortunately, those critters are alive, unlike the worm at the bottom of the mezcal.)

We should have had a Mexican hat dance! Toyota Motor North America’s Barbara Jones, ACC Construction’s Theresa Fleming, Propel Resource’s Wendy Schwingel, ACC’s Michele Medaglia, Milrose Consultants’ Jaclyn DiRenzo, and Ted Moudis Associates’Lucy Carter. Jaclyn and Lucy have much to look forward to: Jacyln’s getting married in 10 weeks at the Central Park Boat House, while Lucy is heading off to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, for vacay.

Horizon Land Services’ Stephanie Butler, Paul Hastings’ Jill Leonardis, and Questex Media’s Kirk Cassels. Stephanie, who just started at Horizon a few weeks ago, is holding up one of the Mother’s Day cards that AREW Charitable Trust is selling in 100% support of the Women In Need shelter. The cards were designed by the children who live in the shelter. A wonderful cause, folks.
