Artistic Approach
July 13, 2010
When you pass by an empty retail store, it's generally not that noticeable, but Winick Realty Group, in conjunction with The Downtown Alliance, opened a 2.2k SF KiptonART pop-up art gallery inside of 75 Wall Street to spark interest in its vacant space. We snapped this of Downtown Alliance retail attractions director Jennifer Mitikan with Winick's Darrell Rubens and Annie Shinn last Thursday at a pop-up party, where brokers checked out the space and portraiture, still life, and fashion works from seven artists. |
The retail is at the base of the Hyatt Andaz hotel, which includes 349 luxury condos and 235 hotel suites, and has over 120' of frontage on Wall, Water, and Pearl Streets, Darrell tells us. Adding to its visibility are two large flags on Wall Street. They're looking for a luxury tenant, which will fit in with nearby Thomas Pink, Tumi, BMW, Tiffany's, and Herm ès—given that are 315k employees in Lower Manhattan with an average annual income of $131k, and nearly 28k households with an average income of $242k. |
