BIG FANS OF SUSTAINABILITY
Michael Byrnes and Clark Wieman at NY Bar Association on Aug. 21, 2012
At Bisnow's recent NY Sustainability Summit, we snapped SourceOne's Michael Byrnes and Planet - Green Building Services'Clark Wieman. Clark tells us he'll manage 699 Madison Ave and has inked a consulting deal with a social services organization. He just launched his business after 20 years in project management and construction in the academic sector. He also wants to expand in the Northwest, particularly Portland, Ore. Mike and Clark both worked on Cooper Union's LEED Platinum building, which included a co-generation plant. Mike tells us his firm is working on $100M worth of energy conservation projects at places like Grand Central Terminal, the Bronx Zoo, the Met, and the New York Public Library.
Adam Glod and Marty Cummins at the NY Bar Association on Aug. 21, 2012
Dynamic Air Quality Solutions COO Marty Cummins (right) tells us August added three big events to his schedule: Bisnow's NY Sustainability Summit, where we snapped him with Green Light National's Adam Glod; a vacation to Cape Cod; and his addition to the European American Chamber of Commerce New Jersey. He was among EACCNJ members traveling to Brussels under a "Getting to Know Europe" grant from the EU to the US. Adam is ALSO working on a course on Local Law 87 (part of Mayor Mike's green building regulations). And he's spent the past seven weekends mentoring kids through Brooklyn-based Stoked (hard work—they connect via action sports like surfing). Oh, and he's looking for fundraisers and board members for Youth4Good, which helps kids build their own semester-long philanthropy programs. To sum up, Adam's a good guy.
