BRYANT PARK'S LATEST TROPHY
August 8, 2012
JP Morgan Asset Management chief investment officer Ben Gifford, Pacolet Milliken Enterprises prez Richard Webel, and Hines East CEO Chris Hughes were among those at Andaz 5th Avenue hotel recently to celebrate Hines and Pacolet Milliken's JV to build the 7 Bryant Park office tower. Pacolet Milliken has owned the parcel, fronting Avenue of the Americas at the southwest corner of the park, since 1954. (The Dodgers were still in Brooklyn and Howard Stern hadn't been born yet.) |
Pei Cobb Freed & Partners' Yvonne Szeto and Henry Cobb (right, with Hines' Tommy Craig) designed the 470k SF, 28-story tower. The all-equity JV means no waiting on financing, and construction will begin in Q4 (red tape beware; they just slashed you up), with first occupancy planned for two years later. |
