DIARY OF A PENSION FUND ADVISOR
December 6, 2011
Bentall Kennedy's Marty Standiford (center, with colleagues Kevin Rivest and Camila Grello) advises union, public, and corporate pension funds on investments from DC to Boston. Notably MEPT, which has investments in the Octagon apartments on Roosevelt Island and new construction at 309 Fifth Ave between 31st and 32nd (165 apartments and 10k SF of retail with Urban Development Partners). Still, he says, the fund is slightly below target on Manhattan investments. He'd like to add a good deal more retail and introduce some more apartments into the mix. But where's the opportunity? Hear more from Marty this Thursday at Bisnow's New York Post-Recession Projects, where he joins Greenberg Traurig's Robert Ivanhoe, TF Cornerstone's Jeremy Shell, Gibson Dunn's Andrew Lance, Gotham Organization's Melissa Pianko, and Miles & Stockbridge's Michele Cohen to discuss what's hot. Great schmoozing, too! Sign up now. |
