DRAMA ON THE HUDSON
March 31, 2010
One of the largest recent transactions in the Hudson Square market is the Writers Guild of America, East’s 15-year, 16k-SF lease at 250 Hudson St. Cassidy Turley’s David Hoffman, who brokered the deal on behalf of the tenant with colleagues Wendy Miller and David Lebenstein, said that the Writers Guild considered renewing at 555 W. 57th St. but opted for Hudson Square’s cultural amenities, proximity to transportation, and the many major media tenants who've already moved there. Other priorities for the Writers Guild were a first-class, financially secure landlord and a building that employs union labor, he said. 250 Hudson, recently renovated by Jack Resnick & Sons, rose to the top, and in a few months, the Writers Guild will be joining tenants like Edelman New York and Corbis Corporation. |
