FEED THE NEED
November 26, 2012
Still trying to shave off that turkey and stuffing from your waist? Burn calories vicariously through 45 spinners—including Avison Young Tri-State president Arthur Mirante and Fox 5 newscaster Rosanna Scotto—by supporting the second annual Spin For Hunger Benefit for St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelters on Dec. 2 at Flywheel Sports. (Although no more seats are available, you can still donate or sponsor here.) We spoke to Avison Young VP Dana Trulis and principal Greg Kraut (Avison Young is the presenting sponsor) who tell us the Pantries feed 10,000 families per week and serve over 1.5 million meals per year. “The recent devastation caused by Hurricane Sandy exacerbated the need,” Greg says. This year, the goal is to raise over $30,000, adds Dana, who's the event chair and is also spinning. |
