From Snowy NYC to Sunny Cayman Islands
We recently caught up with former Newmark and CBRE broker Sloane Rhulen, who took her NY street cred to the Cayman Islands in 2012 and is now leasing VP for Dart Realty, one of the most active developers there. She’s handling retail and office for its local portfolio (including blue-chip tenants like AON and Ernst & Young in the firm's Camana Bay development), as well as residential. Sloane couldn't be happier down Cayman way, though she says deals sometimes can take twice as long to wrap up than in NYC (must be because of how much faster New Yorkers walk to the negotiating meetings).
Here's Sloane's latest leasing challenge, a far but exotic cry from Park Avenue: the 85k SF 18 Forum Lane. Dart recently broke ground on the spec office and already been signed an LOI for 26k SF.
