The Henry Forster Award, presented to a salesperson with integrity, professionalism, leadership, vision, community service, and passion went to Corcoran Group’s Tresa Hall, who says she’s never been more surprised or more honored (especially since she never intended to be in real estate, noting stints as a bartender, flight attendant, and singer). Here, she’s pictured with ’08 winner Jon Wollberg of Halstead and REBNY prez Steven Spinola.

Caran Properties’ Sherry Frankel (second from left, with Caran’s Mark Elias, Molly Shifrin, and Calin Peters) would like to thank everyone who donated to Have A Chance Walk last Sunday. Although it poured, she says that a lot of people still attended the rally and the event was a huge success. Over $476k was raised to support the fight against brain tumors, and they’re still counting, she adds. If you still want to donate, you can do so through Team Caran.
Manhattan Mortgage Co.’s Melissa Cohn, with Charles Rutenberg Realty’s Paul Purcell, Stribling’s Cecilia Serrano, and Prudential Douglas Elliman’s Steven James at REBNY Awards
Although we’ve been hearing an uptick of positivity on the commercial side, the residential folks were oozing with it. Manhattan Mortgage Co.’s Melissa Cohn, with Charles Rutenberg Realty’s Paul Purcell, Stribling’s Cecilia Serrano, and Prudential Douglas Elliman’s Steven James, tells us that business is now back on track—rates are low, so buy, buy, buy. It’s been a great market to connect more with fellow brokers, buyers, and sellers, Steven adds.
