In Memory Of Beth Lamport

New York

Sabre Real Estate Group's Beth Lamport, who brought Wachovia Bank, AC Moore, Tuesday Morning, Chico's, Miller's Ale House, Omaha Steaks, and Benihana to New York, died Friday at home in Port Washington of uterine cancer at the age of 70. Though ill for months, she worked until about a month ago, most recently completing an 11k SF lease for Ulta Beauty Store in Massapequa. (We snapped her during a visit to Sabre's offices with colleague Scott Sher.) The Cornell alum was a 20-year marketing exec for Federated Department Stores before becoming a retail real estate broker in the '80s. She also worked for Breslin Realty Development and Polimeni Realty. Funeral services were held Monday, and the family requests donations in Beth's name to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
